This pic was forwarded to me by a friend. It was taken by one of those motion activated trail cameras that hunters use to see what wildlife is using a trail.

So, did the flash ruin dinner or not?

OMG, that’s great! I doubt the flash ruined dinner. Even if the cougar was distracted and stopped, the deer would’ve looked around to see what flashed and would’ve died of a heart attack when she saw the cougar…

If you look carefully, there’s no flash under the cougar’s tail. You should see some indication of a shadow.Additionally, there’s a stick that should be in front of the cougar’s back. It’s cougar-colored. My conclusion–a not-very-good digital, fake.

Been a while since the last comment, but nice try on assuming this is a fake Tom. If you would notice that the trail camera isn’t taking a picture from above the animal but instead directly from the side of it, the shadow would be on the opposite side of where the camera was; hence the shadow would be hidden from view. It’s common sense.

Doing a project on the cougar and why it’s endangered? It is not endangered, not here in Wyoming anyway and probably no where else. Check it out. Anyway what a great picture I’ve always hoped to get a picture of one, they are all over here where I live.
